I love Tuesdays because I wake up to joy and happiness, and the day pretty much continues on like that... at least until the end. If I haven't gushed about it to you by now, for the last year, I've listened religiously to openly gay comedian Jonny McGovern's weekly podcast, "Gay Pimpin' With Jonny McGovern." it can be found at
www.gaypimp.com, and its the #1 LGBT podcast on iTunes. The show is not for the meek or weak--its raunchy and terribly impolite. However, its like The Secret on steroids and with a lot of dirty jokes and bitchy reads on people--its so joyous and funny!

Jonny McGovern is sort of the embodiment of my philosophy on the queer sexualities--an unabashed and unapologetic proud gay man without judgement, but also without being effete or discreet about it. Jonny's show is a smorgasbord of taboo topics and strong, queer personalities. It is delivered with the expected amount of bitchiness, but also with a heaping helping of joy and life-lust that really picks you up.
I get to school, after listening to the first hour or so of the show on my way in, and I am greeted with 84 minutes of quiet, peaceful prep-time. Noone bothering me, just me and my computer, and my books and my blackboard and usually what's leftover of my Jonny. This is followed by 84 minutes of seventh-graders--the geekiest, but most positive and lovable of all of my classes. That is followed by homeroom--another 45 minutes of the other seventh graders. Then lunch on my own with my music and computer. The afternoon starts out swell with that same group of seventh graders from homeroom.
The only downside to my Tuesdays is the tail end of the day. It might not always be bad, but ending the day with the rambunctious sixth graders can be pretty stressful. But there are some great kids in the class, and really, I can't complain too much.
Overall, I just love Tuesdays, and had to share!
