This is my newest little annex of the web where you can now find more immediate and constant information that my webpage just couldn't keep up with. See the News stories and webpages that catch my eye. You can still read my Livejournal to find out what's going on in my life (at least for now).

Today's news is brought to you by the letter "S" as in Sinus Infection. And Sans Insurance.
But no throbing headache is great enough to keep ME from the news! And I feel a lot better now after yesterday's delicious meal prepared by my roommate: three-cheese organic tortelloni, mixed with other pastas in a tomato basil four-cheese "Grapa" sauce. Served with a bean soup and a beer-batter bread. Served with a non-descript white wine (I also had Ginger Beer), and a side of ABC Family. The meal was finished off with a clove cigarette. A so-called dessert never managed to materialize. Perhaps that's lunch today!
On to the world news. One of Africa's longest civil wars is finally cooling off as the ceasefire between the Ugandan army and the Lord's Resistance Army begins today. Turkish police seek out two men connected with the bombing there yesterday. Mexico's leftists keep fighting despite a court ruling.

And in national news, Florida gets ready for Tropical Storm Ernesto, While NASA returns their shuttle to the hanger to wait it out, and scientists learn more about where storms come from. New Orleans is set to become the national poster city for bland. Texas unveils the "Godzillatron," really how excessive can we get? Despite his wife's apparent hold-up of the Ryan White act, Bill Clinton is fighting the good fight when it comes to AIDS. Could we be on the verge of another Dust Bowl? Here is something I'm not elligible for as I don't have insurance! The movie musical comes of age with Idlewild. And Elton wants to rap.

In LGBT news, Freddie Mercury is apparently an embarassment to Zanzibar, his home country. Besides Tenacious D, how would anyone eve know that Zanzibar was even there if it weren't for Mercury? Horray, more religious homophobia! Watch out for Jerusalem Pride, its going to be one interesting march. Here is a very encouraging story from that Bed and Breakfast who kept getting their rainbow flag cut down. Nepal has their first (unrecognized) public gay wedding.

Until tomorrow!
-Phil
